Ingredients

  • 1 unsweetened green tea bag
  • 8 oz hot water
  • 3/4 cup coconut water
  • ¾ cup sparkling plain water
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, juiced (about 2–3 knobs of ginger)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 CUP mint leaves
  • ice
  • lemon slices, optional

Method

  1. Heat water to 175-185 F in a kettle or on the stovetop. In other words, heat water to just before the boiling point and allow to cool for 2–3 minutes. Pour water into a mug and add in the green tea bag. Steep the tea for three minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, add green tea, coconut water, sparkling water, lemon, ginger, apple cider vinegar and honey. Whisk to combine and add in mint leaves. (Add Multi Collagen Advanced Hydrate Powder, lemon lime flavor, if you wish for additional electrolytes as well as the benefits of collagen.)
  3. Add ice and lemon slices to the pitcher. Pour green tea mixture into the pitcher and allow to refrigerate for 30 minutes for optimal mint and lemon flavor.
  4. Pour into 2 glasses or 2 sports bottles. Enjoy before, during or after a workout.
